very rare species in Belgium, only known from the Kempen.
The
larva lives close to the ground in a silken case covered with plant
material, where it feeds on several low herbaceous plants and grasses,
a.o. Calluna and Thymus. Its development takes one year. The adult males lives only 1 to 8 days, the wingless females up to one month.
They have been seen from late March towards early July. Males fly in the sunshine.
