A
very rare species in Belgium, only known from older records before 1980
from the Kempen. Prefers moorland and heatland habitats.
The
larva lives in a case made of plant debris on Calluna and Sarothamnus.
The
males fly in the sunshine during June and July. The females are
apterous and have much reduced legs and stay in their larval
cases. Mostly found by there larval cases.
