A rather common species throughout Belgium. Most observations are bags found on tree trunks. As with other
Psychids, this species is undoubtedly underrecorded.
The
larva feeds on lichens and lives in a long narrow silken case, made
with plant material and sand and is attached on tree trunks or
fences.
The
adults fly in May and June. The female is apterous and usually
stays
in the case.
