Stenoptilia zophodactylus (Duponchel, 1840)

A local and rare species in Belgium, only known from two provinces in the north of the country.

The larva feeds on the flowers and seeds of Centaurium ssp., Blackstonia perfoliata and Gentiana germanica. Pupation along the stem of the foodplant.

The adults have been observed from June till August. They are active at dusk and later come to light.
