Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Euzophera pinguis (Haworth, 1811)

Rather uncommon in most areas of Belgium.

The larva lives on the inner living bark of Fraxinus, preferring pollarded trees. It possibly lives two years. Only some trees are infested, leaving the the others unattacked. Pupation in the larval feeding place.

The adults have been observed in July. They are active at dusk and later come to light.
