A
rare species in Belgium, only known from 2 provinces in the south. First observation for our country was in 1952 at Luxembourg.
The
larva bores into the rootstock of Helianthemum chamaecistus,
H. vulgare or H. nummularium.
The
adults fly in June. They are active during daytime.
