Known
from many regions in Belgium, but much rarer than its congener Deilephila
elpenor. This species is not so common and mainly known from the coast and from the Calestienne area in the south of our country.
The
larva lives mainly on Galium. Hibernates as a pupa in a loose cocoon among plant debris.
The
adults fly from May till July. They come to light.
