A
very rare immigrant species throughout Belgium. Quite a few observations during the last years (2008, 2009) in many provinces.
The
larva lives on Epilobium angustifolium, Galium, Parthenocissus, Vitis vinifera and Fuchsia.
So far known it's unable to overwinter in our country due to the harsh
winter conditions. Pupates in a loose cocoon on or under the ground.
The
adults have been recorded from June towards December, these moths are
usually from migrants of the second and third generation. They fly from
dusk onwards and visit flowers and later come to light.
