A not so common species throughout Belgium.

The larva lives on Ligustrum, Syringa, Fraxinus,  Symphoricarpus, Viburnum opulus and Sambucus nigra . Hibernates as a pupa underground, sometimes twice.

The adults fly from late May till late August in one generation a year. They are attracted to light.
