Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Nemapogon cloacella (Haworth, 1828)

Not so often observed in Belgium, but probably overlooked in many places. At present known from five provinces.

The larva lives on bracket-fungi, especially Piptoporus, or on callus-tissue around tree-wounds.

The adults have been observed from May till early October.

Belgium, Luxembourg, Nassogne, 16 July 2004.
