Catalogue
of the Lepidoptera of Belgium

Tineola bisselliella (Hummel, 1823)

Not so often observed in Belgium, mainly in the North-West, but probably overlooked in many places.

The larva lives on wool, fur, hair and various material of animal origin. It constructs a silken tube and pupates in a spindle-shaped cocoon.

The adults have been observed from February till October.
