Tinea trinotella Thunberg, 1974

A rather common species in Belgium.

The larva lives in birds' nests, occasionally on woollen material in the open. Sometimes the larva makes temporary cases by the young larva or for moulding. Pupation in a subcylindrical cocoon in the nest.

The adults have been observed from early May till mid July.
