A
common species in the southern regions of Belgium, especially in
limestone areas with growth of Prunus spinosa.
The
larva lives in spun shoots or leaves on Prunus spinosa, P.
domestica or P. avium. It has been reported also, but
less frequently, from Malus, Pyrus, Crataegus
or Corylus. It pupates in the larval habitation or in freshy
spun leaves.
The
adults have been observed from mid May till the end of June. They
are active in late evening and later come to light.
