Lozotaenia forsterana (Fabricius, 1781)

A very rare and local species in Belgium, only in a few provinces recorded. 

The larva lives between spun leaves of Hedera, Ligustrum, Lonicera, Stachys, Vaccinium, Ribes, Larix, Abies, Picea and Pinus. Hibernates as larva and pupation in the larval habitation or between spun leaves.

The adults fly from late June till end of July. They come to light and are mainly active at night..
