Pammene populana (Fabricius, 1787)

A very rare species in Belgium only mentioned before 1980 in Namur and recently been found in Limburg.

The larva lives in the spun terminal shoots of Salix spp.

The adults have been observed in June and July and occasionally in August. They come sparsely to light.
