Argyresthia pygmaeella ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Locally common in some areas of Belgium, known only from 6 provinces.

The larva lives in the shoots or catkins of Salix caprea or S. cinerea.

The adults fly from mid May till the beginning of July. They can easily be disturbed during daytime and come to light.
