Ypsolopha alpella ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

A rarely observed species in Belgium, only known from four provinces in the north and center.

The larva feeds from a slight web on the leaves of Quercus. Pupation in a boat-shaped cocoon affixed to detritus on the ground.

The adults fly from July till mid-end September. They occasionally come to light.
