Ypsolopha horridella (Treitschke, 1835)

A rare species and not often observed in Belgium.

The larva lives between spun leaves on Malus and Prunus spinosa.  Pupation in a rather long white cocoon affixed to detritus on the ground.

The adults have been observed from late June towards early September.
