Ypsolopha mucronella (Scopoli, 1763)

A rarely observed species in Belgium, known from the province of Brabant and the southern provinces.

The larva feeds from a slight web on the leaves of Euonymus europaeus. Pupation in a boat-shaped cocoon affixed to detritus on the ground. The species hibernates in the adult stage.

The adults can be observed from August to April. They occasionally come to light.
