This rare species is only known from the southern provinces in Belgium.
Recent observations only in the province of Namur, older records
(before 1980) for the provinces Liège and Luxembourg.
The
larva lives on Helianthemum nummularium. Hibernates as larva and pupates in a cocoon near the ground.
The
adults fly in June and July. They are active during the day and both sexes visiting flowers. They have a slow flight.
ID: difference between following genus (Adscita, Jordanita and Rhagades)
mainly based on forewing lenght of male and female and lenght and shape
of antenna. For some species a loupe in the field is necessary.
