A common species throughout Belgium.

The larva lives beneath a white silken web on the underside of a leaf of Quercus, Fagus, Malus, Castanea, Acer pseudoplatanus, etc. Pupation on the underside of a leaf, under a silk web.

The adults have been observed from the beginning of July till late October. They come to light.
